Two, Four, six, eight, let’s get ready to postulate.
And let’s get ready for auction in which either Floyd Mayweather or Sugar Shane Mosley will come out a winner.
In yet another sign that Manny Pacquaio has his post Nov. 14 sights set on the megafight of a generation against Mayweather, the Pinoy Idol is rapping in public about the mouthy American.
And Pacman’s words were not positive. While saying that he believes Mayweather does not truly wish to fight, Pacman also negatively critiqued his typical performances.
"Boxing for him is like a business," Pacquiao said. "He doesn't care about the people around him watching. He doesn't care if the fight is boring, as long as the fight is finished and he gets (plenty of) money. ... I want people to be happy. You have a big responsibility as a boxer."
It's Wild Card Gym, not stately Wayne Manor for Batman Roach and Robin Pacquiao on Halloween (Top Rank)
I don’t want to say anything impolite here but, last time I checked, Megamanny was not refusing any of his fight moolah, either.
But, in knocking Mayweather’s safety first, always the ring general style, isn’t Pacman really saying just the opposite, isn’t this just public posturing as part of an ongoing attempt to reach either financial parity or a money edge over Money May?
Folks, you can expert more, much more, of this as the days dwindle to a precious few for the Pacman-Cotto extravaganza.
I’m interested to see if the publicity conscious Mayweather camp will hold a media day or a news conference just prior to or right after Pacquiao and Cotto handle their business.
Don’t forget that there’s no road trip involved for longtime Las Vegan Mayweather.
Can he and his camp pass up the chance to get at so many media types huddled together on the Strip?
Maybe Mayweather will show up at the fight and walk out in a fake show of disgust or derision like I saw George Foreman do in Los Angeles at the second Ali-Norton bout.
If that happens, then Pacquiao-Mayweather is a lock to happen next March.
On the other hand, if Manny and Miguel put on the bruising war most of us are expecting and salivating over, maybe it would safer for Money to screen their bout at the Big Boy Mansion.
Now for my prediction…drum rolls, please, maestro…
If Pacquiao defeats Cotto, you will see a Pacquiao-Mayweather megabout come March 13.
The Lottery loser will be, once again, Mr. Mosley.
If Cotto is triumphant, then he will step into Manny’s shoes and get that super match and super moolah.
At the end of the day, it’s all about the moolah, the Fabulous Moolah, and I am not referring to the late, great female rassler.
